Hi all! I’m Leilani- Owner and Designer of Gypsy Caravan Design. GCD has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 2019. What started as a venture focused on polymer clay and resin earrings has now evolved into a creative haven where I can explore my own unique aesthetic and create products that bring me and my customers joy.
The catalyst for this change came in 2022 when a thoughtful customer gifted me a treasure trove of beads and jewelry making supplies (Thanks Alyssa!). For me, craft supplies are the greatest gift ever. It was a turning point that inspired me to experiment and unleash my creativity, using this unexpected abundance of materials.
Out of this evolution, a new product was born – the Self-Friendship Bracelets. These became not just pieces of jewelry, but instruments of healing my inner child. Each bracelet is meticulously crafted with alphabet beads to spell out words or phrases that resonated with me. They became physical reminders of self-care, tranquility, and self-discovery.
During a particularly stressful time, these bracelets served as a lifeline, offering comfort and grounding. Colors like soothing blues and purples, alongside stars reminiscent of a night sky, adorned a bracelet I made with the word “Relax”, creating a serene and peaceful ambiance.
Whenever I wear my self-friendship bracelets, I find myself more present in the moment. When the challenges of the day threaten to overwhelm me, I twirl my bracelet and become captivated by the intricate details – stars, flowers, butterflies, the kaleidoscope of colors, and the variety of beads. It was a simple but profound reminder to stay grounded and connected to myself.

Since the revamp in 2022, Gypsy Caravan Design has continued to flourish. Alongside Self-Friendship Bracelets, GCD has expanded the product line to include Self-Friendship necklaces, beaded sunny chains for glasses, beaded brooches, and an array of breathtaking resin and polymer clay earrings. I have also ventured into creating home décor items such as pillows and macramé, stationary, stickers, and even upcycled clothing.
Staying true to GCD values, I strive to incorporate as many secondhand elements as possible. Vintage markets, thrift stores, and even Facebook marketplace have become my treasure trove, providing unique components that can be transformed into works of art.
Gypsy Caravan Design epitomizes the journey of an artist coming into her own. What began as a repetitive endeavor has become a vibrant expression of my true self. Each product is infused with love, authenticity, and a commitment to sustainable practices. And as customers adorn themselves with these creations, they not only experience a sense of style and boldness but are also connected to my deeper story of self-discovery and personal growth.
